How to Use BuyBlock™

In order to use BUYBLOCK™ you must create a user account and install the software.

After installation, a BUYBLOCK™ icon will appear in your system tray (usually in the lower right corner of your screen).

Here is the BUYBLOCK™ icon as it appears in the tray.

By right-clicking on it you will display the tray menu.

**Please note that the Windows User who downloads BUYBLOCK™ is automatically the BUYBLOCK™ Administrator. BUYBLOCK™ can only be disabled from the task manager if the Widows User is the BUYBLOCK™ Administrator. Otherwise, there is no way to disable the software without a username and password. BUYBLOCK™ suggests you create a separate user that will be the Administrator.

Options - In order to customize, deactivate or uninstall BUYBLOCK™, you must click on Options. Doing so will bring up the BUYBLOCK™ login screen (shown below).

BUYBLOCK™ Login

Here you must enter your Username (email address) and password.

Cancel - Closes the Login menu

Username - Please note your Username will always be your email address.

NOTE: The email address and password can be different from the ones used to purchase BUYBLOCK™. This login combination is the same one you created on our website prior to purchase / download.

BUYBLOCK™ Options Menu

Once logged in, you will have the BUYBLOCK™ Options menu (shown below) available to you.

Cancel - Closes the Options menu

General

Activate/ Deactivate - Turns off BUYBLOCK™ to allow temporary access to a website (the tray icon will become grayed out to indicate this). Clicking this changes the option to BuyBlock Activate. You would choose this to reactivate BUYBLOCK™ on your system. (This is different from Activate on the tray menu.)

NOTE: Once you activate or deactivate BuyBlock, you must open a new browser window for the change to take effect.

Unblocked Sites

Displays a screen (shown below) listing websites you DO NOT want blocked. Once entered, they can be removed by selecting an entry and clicking Remove.

NOTE: An addition or removal of a site will not be recorded until you click OK.

Add Unblocked Site

When adding a site to be unblocked, the following screen is displayed:

Enter the website address (www.testaddress.com) and click Add. Do this for as many sites you like. Once done, you must remember to click OK on the Unblocked Site List screen described previously.

NOTE: For your changes to take effect you must open a new window.

Remove Unblocked Site

When removing a site from the unblocked list, simply click on the site you want removed then click on Remove.

NOTE: For your changes to take effect you must open a new window.

When done, simply click Close on the BuyBlock Options menu.

Misc

Takes you to uninstall BUYBLOCK™ from your system, and takes you to the Help Section of the BUYBLOCK™ website

Activate Product - Allows you to enter your registration code.

Help - Clicking this will take you to the Help Section of the BUYBLOCK™ website

Exit - This will remove the icon from the tray. To redisplay the icon you must select Start System Tray Application under BuyBlock Protector in your Programs list. (Click Start, Programs, BuyBlock Protector, Start System Tray Application)
